All day kayak trip down Payette River and Adventures at Lake Cascade and Leaving

On Sunday July 29th we went kayaking down the Payette River for 6 hours.  We rented two kayaks from a local vendor who agreed to take me to the drop off point and put in and then take our truck to the take out point so we would have a way home.  They were very nice couple that run the place and he had a sister who went to Alabama (Roll Tide) and that was a plus for us.  Of course he is a Florida Seminole and we play them at the first of the season.  But we got along just fine.

The trip was just great.  We just floated instead of paddling all the way to the end.  It was quite and there were only a few people on the river.  We only saw 2 kayakers and three boats the whole day.  The water was low in some places and there were a few sandbars but we did not get stuck on them.  We saw three bald eagles at different locations.  They were in trees above the river fishing.  We saw one nest with the mother in there but no chicks.  Not sure when they hatch here but would guess it is around the same time as Georgia or other places.  These are great birds to watch and I wish I had my good camera with the long lens to take pictures of them. I was afraid that I would mess it up if I brought it or dump it in the river.

We finished the river about 4 pm and got the kayaks loaded and back to the vendor and then went back to the RV for the evening.
