Twin Falls- Bridge-Jumpers-Snake River

So, we made it to Twin Falls through some very nice country settings.  Idaho is a very interesting and beautiful state.  If you ever get the chance come visit.  Twin Falls is also very interesting town located on the Snake River.  They have one of the very few bridges in the United States that allows people to jump from it using a parachute.  I guess there have been others who did not use a chute but those that want to live do.  They also let people bungee jump from the bridge but we did not see any of that on this day.  I told Cindy I would pay for hers if she wanted to bungee jump but she refused.

There is a visitors center located right at the bridge and you can go there and watch them jump from the bridge.  There are walkways around so you can get a different view from all sorts of angles.  The jumpers have to climb back up the rock walls or there are some who get a boat or friend in a boat to pick them up and carry them back up the river to where they parked a car.

The Snake River winds through here and there is beautiful views from the bridge and the visitors center.  We plan to kayak the river before leaving.  There were a lot of kayaks on the river the first day we were here.  Shoshone Falls is not far from the bridge either.  We plan a visit there also. This is also where Evil Knievel tried the canyon jump that failed.  I forgot what year that was but it was in the 1970's.

The first photos you will see is of the bridge and Snake River and then the jumpers on the bridge and after they open their chutes.
